William, born in 1798, was the younger brother of Charles. He married Mary Judge in 1832, left her at the church gates and went to America. On his return, he married Elizabeth Griffin in 1870, lived at Penwick Furlong, and gave the land in 1871 to the Chapel for the creation of the graveyard.
