The committee arranges special events from time to time.

Many of you have thoroughly enjoyed the professional theatre presentations which we have held in the Old Schoolroom through the “Theatre in the Villages” scheme.

That scheme has now come to an end, but we were delighted to hear about a show recommended by the TiV coordinator, which has had a great reception in local venues in other parts of the country. We have booked it for the Old Schoolroom on Friday 16thFebruary 2018at 8pm.

We do hope you will be keen to attend. Please reserve your tickets from Angel Marks, Judy Nagele or Alan Askew – just £12 each. The show is probably suitable for everyone, but most likely to appeal to over 16s.

THINK OF ENGLAND

Friday 16th February 2018 8pm The Old Schoolroom, Weedon

1943. The war office has employed Bett and Vera to travel the country hosting tea dances to boost morale amongst local communities and Air Force crews. But how will the locals react when they discover the women’s real purpose: to send the young men off to fight having experienced all of life’s pleasures?

Join the ladies for an unforgettable evening of dance, rousing song, and a real-life war time scandal that threatens to destroy the women’s lives, shame the community, and tear apart one already splintered RCAF crew.

Can you save the night?
